We got the tickets the day before the match at a shop in the city called redpagos which is also a sponsor of Peñarol at 250 pesos each.
On the day of the match we got the bus at 1 pm to the city and football fans crowded the bus and sang the whole journey. They were excited to become champions.
We got off two stops before the stadium to get some lunch and then followed the crowd of yellow and black to the game.
Peñarol started the game looking nervous and found it difficult to keep possession, missing a couple of chances by Forlan, the former Manchester United player.
Eventually Palacios scored for Peñarol due to a mistake in defense. The stadium came alive knowing they could be champions if the score didn't change.
In the second half Peñarol seemed to be trying their best to let Juventud equalise by giving the ball away which in the 93rd minute gave them a one on one chance to score, but missed.
The final whistle blew and celebrations began, the league trophy was awarded to Peñarol in front of about 60.000 fans.
