C.A. Talleres 0 v 0 Central Cordoba. Talleres Remedios de Escalada. 8.13.15

We got a taxi to the southof Buenos Aires,  to an area called Lanus where the taxi driver told us to be careful. We had to buy tickets out of the back of a van at 150 pesos each, which isn't bad being a second leg play off final to the promotion from the 4th tier of Argentinian football.
We were two hours early for the game but even this early the atmosphere was great. C.A Talleres was taking a 1-0 lead into the game.
Kick off was soon upon us under the blistering heat and C.A Talleres seemed like they were hungry for promotion with hard tackles and a high work race.
Atmosphere was great throughout the match but the result was a stale mate 0-0 with either teams not creating too many clear cut chances.
The final whistle went and some C.A Talleres fans invaded the pitch to celebrate promotion with the players. Attendance was 10.000

Peñarol 1 v 0 Juventud. Centenario stadium. 6.12.15

We got the tickets the day before the match at a shop in the city called redpagos which is also a sponsor of Peñarol at 250 pesos each.
On the day of the match we got the bus at 1 pm to the city and football fans crowded the bus and sang the whole journey. They were excited to become champions.
We got off two stops before the stadium to get some lunch and then followed the crowd of yellow and black to the game.
Peñarol started the game looking nervous and found it difficult to keep possession, missing a couple of chances by Forlan, the former Manchester United player.
Eventually Palacios scored for Peñarol due to a mistake in defense. The stadium came alive knowing they could be champions if the score didn't change.
In the second half Peñarol seemed to be trying their best to let Juventud equalise by giving the ball away which in the 93rd minute gave them a one on one chance to score, but missed.
The final whistle blew and celebrations began, the league trophy was awarded to Peñarol in front of about 60.000 fans.

Fluminense 1-1 Internacional, Maracana, Brazil. 28.11.15

Tickets were available in the ticket offices at the Maracana that morning between 8am and 1pm according to the website.
We arrived at about 11 am to the metro station that leads you directly to the stadium with a capacity of 92.000.
We walked around it under the scorching sun to get to the ticket office. Surprisingly, we didn't have to queue or make our way past early-rising hooligans like we thought, but instead got to an empty counter and paid for 3 tickets for 40 reales each to sit with the home team behind the goal.
After purchasing the tickets for ourselves and Henry, we made our way back.
In the evening we arrived at the Maracana one hour before kick off. Again we found the entry and the inside of the stadium to be pretty empty but we expected it to fill up as kick off got closer. We had a drink in one of the stands and went to find our seats.
Just before the match started, we listened to the Brazilian national anthem. The stadium didn't get much more filled up than it was and the away team got a goal in the fourth minute of the game, scored by Vitinho. Internacional looked like the better team, having more possession and creating danger several times. Things were getting worse for Fluminense, when they lost a man due to a red card.
During the second half, the home team recovered and starting attacking. The crowd started to get behind the team and in the 74th minute Cicero equalised after being awarded a penalty. The Maracana burst into sudden carnival.
Fluminense had a great chance to snatch the game in the 93rd minute, but just missed. The final score was 1-1. Fair result.
